10/3/19: Learned about mussels in Indiana with Anthony Thomas’s Earth Science class!
Awesome time with @DantheClamMan yesterday taking his time to speak with GHS earth Sci students about what it means to be a researcher in the field, and his research with bivalves. It was great to have such a causal conversation with the students. #GKBLeaders pic.twitter.com/IfwPfzRnXw

Awesome @SkypeScientist with @DantheClamMan he said a great part about being a scientist is that he gets to ask questions and then work to answer them… which leads to more questions. Sounds like #NGSS to me! pic.twitter.com/T5dmFYWW7G

9/9/18: I gave a talk at the UC Museum of Paleontology about my Jurassic bivalve work! Their collection is amazing.
8/12/18: What I thought was a rather sleepy volunteer role on a UCSC housing committee ended up becoming an affordable housing crusade when I began to advocate to protect a graduate student housing project from being destroyed by NIMBY activists. This work was reviewed in several outlets and a Letter to the Editor which I wrote to the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
1/12/14: Funny looking back at this post I wrote during my first quarter in grad school and seeing that everything turned out fine 🙂
